Find yourself facing an outside set or in the perfect spot as a wave approaches. Your body lights up. Cells release adrenaline, absorb oxygen, create energy, drive your limbs.
It’s inspiring and humbling to reflect on how this series of microscopic chemical and physical reactions allow us to harness the power of a wave that may have travelled thousands of miles across an ocean.
Alive is a triptych of surfboards celebrating some of the cells that power us.
