What Josh says about this model:
'The Liberator has a lot of unique elements but is ultimately designed to be an all-around board for those that enjoy a longer rail line and the surfing experience single fins provide.
The Liberator is available in two lengths. The 6’10 features a narrower more pulled in outline, increased rocker and a lower rail amongst other things. This length is designed to be surfed in better quality waves, or anything with a little push (see video below). The 7’6 is wider, flatter and thicker, it still features all of the performance attributes, however, is designed to be surfed as a midlength and excels in waves up to head high
Most Traditional single fins have the widest and thickest points forward of the centre and diminishing as the board tapers towards the tail. This created a great board for powerful waves however can restrict their performance in sub-par conditions as it created a tail end that drags, resulting in a sluggish sensation.
The centre of buoyancy in the Liberator has been moved just back behind the centre point, with the thickness at 12 inches from the tail slightly exceeding that of the nose, the board also features a thin refined nose to reduce swing weight and give the impression of riding a smaller board. This creates somewhat of an S-Deck in appearance and ultimately results in a more positive buoyancy through the back half of the surfboard thus creating a more efficient planing surface in a large variety of waves.
The bottom contours feature a slight single concave that turns into a moderate double barrel concave in front of the fins with spiral vee of the tail. This combined with some exaggerated tail kick in the last 18 inches results in a very responsive and alive sensation when surfing from the tail.'
The Liberator is designed as a single fin or a 2 + 1 setup.
